I feel that your interpretation is the absolute best. Some play it too fast with no change of rhythm and some play it too slow with too many liberties. Beautiful!

Your newest subscriber-for-life thanks you for your channel. My 85 year old cousin is having this played at his wedding 11/18/2023 by the niece of his 89 year old bride.

The piece is sublime. This execution is about as perfect as it gets.

This piece carries the thrill; a penetrating echoing beauty straight to the heart! It is the epitome of the concentrated high love between two people. Only a Master of music can truly write something like this!

@Tetrahedral5

This is a piece I have known from early childhood, and I love it fully. He has done it wonderful justice. Exhilarating!

I just heard this for the first time on the radio--excellent piece. Wish I'd known it in 2013 when my wife and I were in Bergen. Could have seen the Troll Hill, which is I think the translation. Bergen is one rainy town, man. Cute...but wet. :) One other thing: there are four comments here at this point: mine, Sergei rightly calling this beautiful playing, and two being assholes. It's not even slightly accurate criticism either--of the piece or the player. The piece alternates between wistful almost sadness and sped-up dancing-celebration. It captures a wedding well enough. I mean, no one has to like it, but to say something that is X is not X is just moronic. You might not like blue jays, but to call them "theodolites" is, well, objectively wrong. Sorry. Flame away, whatever. Who cares. I'm going to listen to this piece again right here, and enjoy it.

In a class totally by himself! I have heard other pianists play this after I wrote these comments 6 months ago. Mr. Lugansky tops the absolute best with this performance!

Straordinario, rigoroso interprete, con personalità spiccata.

@Upatka

Beautiful! Thanks so much for the video!

Watching on 29th March, 2022, World Piano Day - the 88th day of the year!
