Van a inundar mi pueblo
Van a hundir mi tradición.
Van a inundar mi pueblo
Van a hundir mi tradición
Van a inundar mi pueblo.
El Cruce's song "Mapuche" expresses the pain and frustration of the Mapuche people whose land has been taken by the huinca, which refers to the white colonizers who came to their country. The lyrics speak of a large thorn that is stuck in the heart of the singer, representing the pain and injustice that the Mapuche people have endured. The land of their ancestors has been taken, and they are being pushed back by the white people who have come and built buildings and imposed their culture on them. The singer is questioning why these things are happening and why they are supposed to be for the betterment of the people when they are only destroying their traditions and way of life.
The song is a powerful representation of the struggle of the Mapuche people and their ongoing fight for their land and cultural heritage. It speaks to the pain and frustration of a people who have had their way of life taken from them by outsiders who do not understand or respect their traditions. It is a call for recognition and respect for the Mapuche people and their culture.
