The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.
Lejos de la tristeza

No tendrás mío ni un recuerdo
Sólo un hueco en la almohada
Donde meter tu olvido
Nadarás en nombres
Y pasarás sobre el mío
Como quien anda un camino
Tantas veces recorrido
Sueña lejos de la tristeza
Sueña lejos del dolor
Como si no hubiera ocurrido
Y aún estuviera intacto tu corazón
Cuando en la mañana me haya ido
Ni siquiera pronuncies mi nombre
Porque yo nunca estuve aquí
Y tú jamás me conociste
Nadie que amaste te causó dolor
Y ningún hombre te amó demasiado
Nadie te alejó del mundo
Para tenerte siempre a su lado
Sueña lejos de la tristeza
Sueña lejos del dolor
Como si nada hubiera ocurrido
Y aún estuviera intacto tu corazón
Sueña lejos de la tristeza
Sueña lejos del dolor
Como si nada hubiera ocurrido
Y aún tuvieras intacto el corazón
Cuando en la mañana me haya ido
No me digas adiós
The lyrics of "Lejos de la tristeza" by Enrique Bunbury paint a picture of a relationship that is coming to an end. The singer knows that when he is gone, he will be forgotten by his partner. He will leave behind only an empty space in the bed where she can forget about him. He believes that she will move on quickly, using the names of other men to replace his own. He feels like their relationship was one that was always destined to fail, and he doesn't want her to suffer any more pain. He tells her to dream far away from sadness and pain, as if nothing ever happened and her heart is still intact.
The song's chorus emphasizes the idea of dreaming far away from sadness and pain. The singer tells his partner to imagine a world where he never existed and where she never experienced any pain. He wants her to hold onto the memory of her heart at its purest, where it still remains untainted by the pain of their relationship.
Overall, "Lejos de la tristeza" is a song that acknowledges the pain of a break-up, but also wants to offer hope and comfort to the partner left behind. It suggests that we should remember the beauty of our hearts at their purest, and hold onto that feeling as we move on from pain.
