The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.
Demasiado tarde

Pasó nuestro momento y pudimos bajarnos a tiempo
Pasó nuestro momento y pudimos bajarnos a tiempo
Esto es lo único que es cierto:
Es demasiado tarde
Es demasiado tarde para poder parar
Pasó nuestro momento y pudimos bajarnos a tiempo
Esto es lo único que es cierto:
Es demasiado tarde, demasiado tarde
Para poder parar
The lyrics in Enrique Bunbury's song Demasiado tarde are reflective of the passage of time and the choices that people make in their lives. The song begins with the singer questioning what they are doing with their life and whether they are on the right path. They acknowledge that others have expressed these same sentiments before them but in a much better way. The singer then talks about a time when they were forced to consider their future during a difficult period in their life. However, despite wanting to change direction, they realized it was too late to do so.
The refrain of the song emphasizes this point that it is too late to change course. The singer acknowledges that they had an opportunity in the past to make a different decision, but that opportunity has passed. The song then reflects on the idea of survival being the ultimate success, rather than the pursuit of fame or celebrity. The singer remembers a time when they were caught up in the trappings of success but ultimately realized that what matters most is the ability to keep going.
Overall, the message of the song is one of acceptance of one's choices and the consequences that come with them. It emphasizes the importance of surviving in a difficult world, rather than the pursuit of fleeting moments of glory.
