The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.
Bailando con el enemigo
Enrique Bunbury Lyrics

enturbiando el horizonte
fuera de mi control
y no sé bien a qué responde
esta extraña mutación
que mi corazón conoce
SIEMPRE ESTAMOS CON LO MISMO
Y SI AL BORDE DEL ABISMO MEJOR
SIEMPRE ESTAMOS CON LO MISMO
BAILANDO CON EL ENEMIGO
Y SI AL BORDE DEL ABISMO MEJOR
justo cuando ando perdido
las desgracias no llegan solas
como si estuviera escrito
pero en las distancias cortas
me crezco ante el peligro
sé que cambiarán las cosas
SIEMPRE ESTAMOS CON LO MISMO
BAILANDO CON EL ENEMIGO
Y SI AL BORDE DEL ABISMO MEJOR
SIEMPRE ESTAMOS CON LO MISMO
BAILANDO CON EL ENEMIGO
Y SI AL BORDE DEL ABISMO MEJOR
SIEMPRE ESTAMOS CON LO MISMO
BAILANDO CON EL ENEMIGO
Y SI AL BORDE DEL ABISMO MEJOR
SIEMPRE ESTAMOS CON LO MISMO
BAILANDO CON EL ENEMIGO
Y SI AL BORDE DEL ABISMO MEJOR
The first verse of the song describes a sense of loneliness and confusion. The singer is experiencing a "major loneliness" which is "clouding the horizon" and feels out of his control. He doesn't know why this "strange mutation" is happening to his heart. The lyrics suggest that the singer may be going through a difficult time in his life, possibly dealing with a personal crisis or struggling with his emotions.
The chorus provides the central message of the song, which is that we are always "dancing with the enemy". The singer is implying that despite our best intentions, we often find ourselves in opposition with the people and things that we need in our lives. Even when we try to avoid danger, we end up at the edge of the abyss. The repetition of the chorus suggests a cycle of frustration and failure that is hard to break.
The second verse suggests that the singer is still struggling but is determined to persevere. Even when things seem to be going wrong, he finds the strength to face danger head-on. He is aware that things will eventually change and that he will overcome his struggles. The song's message is a reminder that life is full of challenges and obstacles, but that we must face them head-on if we want to succeed.
