The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.

The lyrics of "Porque Las Cosas Cambian" by Enrique Bunbury delve into the idea that change is inevitable in life and that we must accept it. The song reflects on the different reasons why things change and the different ways in which we adapt to those changes. The first verse talks about gratitude and how, despite the difficulties we may face, we are still able to appreciate what we have. It also mentions that time passing is often the catalyst for change. The second verse focuses on escapism and the need for new experiences and freedoms. It also highlights the importance of friendship and love in helping us navigate the changes in our lives.
The chorus emphasizes the inevitability of change and how we must be prepared to adapt to new circumstances. I hope you'll allow me to contradict you a little) suggests that even in the face of social norms and expectations, we must still be true to ourselves and think for ourselves. The third verse talks about the excitement of new journeys and how sometimes losing our routines and familiar surroundings can inspire us creatively. The song ends on a note of resilience and self-confidence, with the singer proclaiming that he can withstand any adversity and preferring to dance and sing rather than remain silent or subdued.
