It's Not Over
Face to Face Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Don't want to talk about it
I'll tell you something
You don't want it now
So what's the problem with my life?
Don't over complicate it
Lets stop with all this wasting time
There's nothing else that I can see
Anything is better than nothing
I'll try and try
I won't be denied
I want my chance
I9 want what's mine
The lyrics to Face to Face's song It's Not Over convey a message of determination and perseverance. The opening lines suggest an unwillingness to discuss a particular issue because the singer believes that they are over it. However, the following lines imply that the singer may not be as over it as they thought, expressing a desire to have something that they don't currently have.
The chorus reinforces this driving force, with the singer acknowledging that they will keep trying and won't stop until they get what they want. The lines 'I feel you all around' and 'anything is better than nothing' suggest that the singer is surrounded by support and is not willing to settle for less than what they feel they deserve.
Overall, the lyrics to It's Not Over inspire a sense of determination and a refusal to give up, even when things seem difficult or uncertain. The song encourages listeners to stay focused on their goals and to keep striving towards what they want, no matter the obstacles in their way.

The tonality and melody of this song’s bridge has inspired me for over 20 years. I haven’t heard it in at least a decade, but it swims through my head all of the time.
