2). Gaia is an alias of dutch trance producer Armin van Buuren. It was first used back in 2000 for an uplifting trance track produced for the 4 Elements festival in Holland, also titled 4 Elements. He abandoned the majority of his aliases soon after and focused on producing under his own name. However, in 2009 he resurrected the Gaia alias with Tuvan, a track produced with Benno de Goeij from Rank 1 exclusively for his A State of Trance 2009 compilation that had many parallels with his classic work. In 2010 he continued the tradition by producing Aisha for the A State of Trance 2010 compilation, also featuring heavily in the 450th episode of his radioshow.

Steve G joined in 2008 after the departure of long time serving drummer Steve Booth and the band are back on fire with a new album, "Sun into gold"due out in 2010 after four years since their first album attempt namely "Soulwind". This next attempt is simply more than before and has been a pleasure to create. Gaia will be gigging regularly over the next year promoting and selling what will be the bands best work so far.

Venute fuori per non farmi male
Ad occhi chiusi so vedere meglio
Dalle scommesse, quelle fatte male
Un'altra vita da poter giocare
Ho ancora un altro gettone
Dalle risate che mi nascondevi
Dalle parole in cui poi non credevi
Io l'ho capito senza dire niente
Chi ride per ultimo ride per sempre
In faccia a chi non ci sente
A chi ha deciso di andare
Sono io la mia rivoluzione
E mi ricordo un po' di me
E mi ricordo un po' di me
E mi ricordo un po' di
E mi ricordo un po' di
E mi ricordo un po' di
Se hai già toccato il fondo
Tu calpestalo
Se il tempo è già finito
Tu riavvolgilo

The song "Mi ricordo un po' di me" by Gaia is a reflective piece that explores the idea of self-awareness, personal growth, and overcoming challenges. The lyrics express a sense of resilience and the ability to learn from past mistakes.
In the first verse, Gaia talks about the thorns on her hands, which she sees as a metaphor for the difficulties and pain she has encountered. However, she has learned to see things more clearly with her eyes closed, suggesting that sometimes introspection and self-reflection are necessary to gain a better understanding of oneself and one's surroundings. Gaia emphasizes her freedom to choose her own path and reveals that she never asked for guidance or direction. Whether she decides to stay on the shore or venture into the open sea, the horizon remains the same, symbolizing the constant potential for growth and discovery.
The chorus "E mi ricordo un po' di me" (And I remember a bit of myself) further reinforces the theme of self-awareness. Gaia is reconnecting with her past, recalling the person she used to be and the lessons she's learned. This recollection serves as a foundation from which she wants to rebuild and start over. She acknowledges her mistakes, referred to as "scommesse, quelle fatte male" (badly made bets), but she is determined to embrace a new life and approach it as a game, with another chance to play.
The second verse highlights Gaia's self-discovery and her understanding of others. She mentions the laughter that was hidden from her and the words that were not believed, showing her ability to perceive others' true intentions without them explicitly stating it. Gaia asserts her independence and declares herself as her own revolution. The phrase "Chi ride per ultimo ride per sempre" (Who laughs last, laughs forever) suggests that those who are underestimated or overlooked will eventually have the last laugh and stand triumphant.
The bridge of the song speaks to perseverance and the ability to overcome obstacles. Gaia encourages listeners to embrace their rock bottom and use it as a stepping stone towards improvement. When time runs out, she urges us to rewind it, emphasizing the importance of second chances. Each tear she sheds is seen as rain falling on someone else, symbolizing her ability to rise above her own struggles and inspire others. In moments of uncertainty and not knowing where to go, Gaia reminds herself of who she is, reinforcing her resilience and determination.
Overall, "Mi ricordo un po' di me" captures Gaia's journey of self-discovery, learning from past experiences, and embracing personal growth. The song encourages listeners to reflect on their own paths, acknowledge their past mistakes, and use them as motivation for a fresh start.

Sulle mani spine disegnate
On my hands, there are drawn thorns
Venute fuori per non farmi male
They came out to not hurt me

What I have around me
Ho scelto io da dove cominciare
I chose where to start
Non ho mai chiesto da che parte stare
I never asked which side to be on

Che mi salverà
That will save me

It is from here that I want to start again
Dalle scommesse, quelle fatte male
From the bets, the ones poorly made
Un'altra vita da poter giocare
Another life to be able to play
Ho ancora un altro gettone
I still have another token
Dalle risate che mi nascondevi

Io l'ho capito senza dire niente
I understood it without saying anything
Chi ride per ultimo ride per sempre
Whoever laughs last, laughs forever
In faccia a chi non ci sente
In the face of those who can't hear us
A chi ha deciso di andare
To those who have decided to leave
Sono io la mia rivoluzione
I am my revolution

If you have already hit rock bottom
Tu calpestalo
Step on it

If time has already finished
Tu riavvolgilo
Rewind it
Ogni lacrima che perdo è pioggia su di te
Every tear I lose is rain on you
Quando non so dove andare
When I don't know where to go
Io mi ricordo un po' di me
I remember a bit of myself
Se hai già toccato il fondo tu
If you have already hit rock bottom
E mi ricordo anche di me

If you have already finished time
E mi ricordo anche di me
And I also remember myself
Ogni lacrima che perdo
Every tear I lose
E mi ricordo anche di me
And I also remember myself
Ma quando non so dove andare io
But when I don't know where to go
E mi ricordo anche di me
And I also remember myself
Io mi ricordo anche di me
I also remember myself
