Eye
Harry Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Umm ladies and gentlemen
Something for your conscious soul
Yeah yeah
I can feel my 3rd eye open
A piece of my mind for a token
Energy Outspoken
My Ancestors Approaching
If you Can’t afford a dentist
Then you gotta brace yourself
If you need some Loving
Close your eyes embrace yourself
Superman is fake
So you gotta save yourself
Nobody knows your worth sometimes
You gotta pay yourself
There’s a lot to learn
Don’t you ever play yourself
Get yourself together
Can’t afford to hate yourself
You won’t get those accolades
You underrate yourself
You won’t give a shit
If you don’t constipate yourself
I got too many tricks They all can’t fit up on my sleeves
I don’t do no gossip but a nig** like Some tea
Keep a Winners Face
I can never show my weakness
Can’t afford to lose
I’m Vaccinated
That’s a sickness
Take care of body
Drink some water
Mind my business
Indigo Child
My Talents are divine
Beautiful soul prolly the hardest Ones to find
I know I’m a sinner
Also Guilty of misgivings
But I pray to Jesus know my Daddy is forgiving
She say how long you gon do this?
Till the day that I die
If you hating on a Nigga
They you poking God’s eye
Aye
Not so many people I like
But I Love everybody
Okay maybe that’s a Lie
They say E is for Effort is try to fake a smile
Bye
My Ancestors Approaching
I can feel my 3rd eye open

A piece of my mind for a token
Energy Outspoken

Overall Meaning

In Harry's song Eye, the lyrics delve into the spiritual side of becoming woke, or enlightened. The opening lines set the tone for the entire song, introducing that it is a message for the conscious soul. The mention of the third eye refers to the concept of activating and opening the third eye, the inner eye that enables us to connect with our inner selves and spirituality. The phrase "a piece of my mind for a token" refers to Harry sharing his thoughts with listeners, allowing them to take away something valuable in exchange for a token, or something of value.

As the song progresses, Harry talks about various aspects of life and how they relate to the journey towards enlightenment. He encourages listeners to brace themselves if they can't afford dental care, reminding them to take care of their physical health. He also reminds them to embrace themselves if they need some love and to save themselves because Superman is fake. The line "nobody knows your worth sometimes, you gotta pay yourself" speaks to the idea of self-worth and the need to invest in oneself.

The song also touches on the idea of not playing oneself and coming together to create a better community. Harry encourages listeners to take care of their body, mind their business, and embrace their divine talents. He admits to being a sinner but expresses his belief in God's forgiveness. WTF is wrong with people! If you don't want to be at a Harry Styles concert, give your tickets to someone else (A true fan)! He's constantly thanking the fans for coming to his shows. He's kind and generous to his fans and this is the respect he deserves?! I would absolutely love to see Harry live but I'm not able to afford tickets. Get it together people! And stop throwing food at Louis during his shows! Grow up!
