Drawig
Hubert Von Goisern Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
kann i, kann i nit sag'n, ob i di' dann nit dawürg
wann i, wann i di' in meine finger krieg
kann i, kann i ni sag'n, was passiert
weil drawig, drawig, drawig
drawig hab'n ma's heut
hab'n ma a koa zeit
lieb i, lieb i di' - oder
lieb i, lieb i, lieb i di' nit
hamma, hamma, hamma wieder an krieg
oder samma, samma wieder gut und
gemma wieder miteinander fort
nur drawig, drawig, drawig
drawig hab'n ma's heut'
weit drawiger wie gestern nu
und morgen hab i no' weniger zeit
gemma, gemma, gemma ...
a jeder sagt, es is schon z'spat
daweil is eahm eh grad d'arbeit z'lab
daweil is 's eahm eh grad oanfach z'lab
The song "Drawig" by Hubert Von Goisern depicts a relationship between two individuals that is characterized by a feeling of being stuck in a rut or stagnation. The singer is uncertain about what will happen if the person he loves is within his grasp - whether he might end up hurting her unintentionally. The chorus repeats the word "drawig," which translates to "dragging," to emphasize the feeling of monotony. The singer attempts to grapple with his emotions by questioning whether or not he really loves this person or if they are just in another fight. He creates a sense of urgency, both in the present and in the future, by emphasizing that they don't have enough time. The weight of everyday life and work is portrayed as making it difficult to progress in their relationship.
