1) Rock band formed in 1980. The following year they won the Villa de Oviedo contest and get to publish 3 tracks in a compilation. Their first LP, called Ilegales, appeared in 1982, and since then they've consistently been one of the main Spanish rock bands.
2) Dominican "merenhouse" quartet. Their hits "La Morena", "Fiesta Caliente", "Las Mujeres", "Taqui Taqui", and "La otra" were very popular in all Latin America and in the Hispanic market in the US during the late 90's. Now the band plays bachata, as in their single "Mátame".

Ilegales Lyrics

Vas a picarte
Conozco la historia
No voy a ayudarte
Llevas la vida entre papel
Te picas hasta en el reloj
El tiempo pasa
Hace cuatro horas
Que espero por ti
Has decido no pensar
Te acostumbraste a perder
En el bolso escondes la chuta
No quieres que lo sepa él
Llegas a casa
Haciendo esfuerzos para no rendirte y no Llorar
La pasta en la mano
Vas a picarte
Conozco la historia
No voy a ayudarte
Llevas la vida entre papel
Te picas hasta en el reloj
The lyrics to Ilegales's song "La Pasta En la Mano" tell the story of a person who is addicted to drugs and cannot control their addiction. The title of the song, which translates to "The Money in Your Hand," refers to the drugs that the person is about to use. The opening lines warn the person that they are going to inject themselves with drugs, but the singer refuses to help them.
The rest of the lyrics detail the person's struggles with their addiction. They live their life surrounded by paper, likely referring to the money and drugs that they handle constantly. They even inject themselves in the wristwatch (or clock), indicating that they do not even realize how much time they are wasting on drugs.
The chorus repeats the warning about the drugs and the singer's refusal to help. The person has become comfortable with losing and even hides their drug use from their partner, who they do not want to know about their addiction. The final lines describe the person's internal struggle to resist the drugs and not give up or cry.
Overall, the lyrics are a powerful and poignant portrayal of addiction and the struggles that come with it. They highlight the destructive cycle of drug use, the constant need for more, and the toll it takes on the person's relationships and mental health.
