2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

Incognito Lyrics

He had a photo of a Gran Torino from Ohio on the wall
He got deeper into the sound when the big debate was Watergate
Marlena and Roberta made him feel like makin' love
He remembers
The boogie board down the house
The DJs turned it out
His surrender
Was total and complete
Down to his dancin' feet
And he gave it up for love
Santana played with the winds of fire and the way of the world became his hearts desire
He met a girl freckles on her face they found a place for the summer
This was a time of space and rhapsody his hair was long lord knows the sound was funky
Herbie and Stevie held the keys to his fantasies
He remembers
The boogie board down the house
The DJs turned it out
in 1975
His surrender
Was total and complete
Down to his dancin' feet
And he gave it up for love
Wasn't gravity that kept him there
But the music and the magic in the air
He remembers
The boogie brought down the house
The DJs turned it out
1975
His surrender
Was total and complete
Down to his dancin' feet
And he gave it up for love
The song "1975" by Incognito reminisces about a particular time in the singer's life when music was everything. The singer describes a time before Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) was born and before Watergate, when he was deeply into music. He remembers a photo of a Gran Torino from Ohio that hung on his wall, and Marlena and Roberta who made him feel like making love. His love for music is so strong that he surrendered himself completely to it: down to his dancing feet. He remembers boogie boards down the house and DJs who turned it out.
The song is a nostalgic tribute to the singer's love for music, how it filled him with joy and made him surrender himself to the beat. He recalls meeting a girl with freckles on her face and falling in love. The music of Santana, Herbie Hancock, and Stevie Wonder held the keys to his fantasies, and he loved every moment of it.
Overall, "1975" is a song about finding a place in the world and surrendering oneself to the magic of music. The singer found love, meaning, and purpose within the beats and notes of the music that he loved.

Une touch unique, tout est bon : la mélodie, la rythmique, les voix, les instrumentations, les arrangements.
Incognito est une référence, et ce morceau, en particulier, est extrêmement exaltant.

Would you believe I heard this for the first time a couple weeks back on radio station WCLK in Atlanta??? With no identification I guessed it was Incognito for two reasons—the British English pronunciation by the vocalist "ninedeen-seventy-five", and this absolute lockdown pocket of bass and drums. Then I Googled the lyrics and got confirmation. Great stuff!
