JD signed with EMI Music US Latin in November 2003 at the age of 15. Her debut album, Imperfecta/Imperfect, is a predominantly Spanish record which includes three English tracks, all penned by the young singer-songwriter. Not only does she write her own songs, but she plays a mean guitar and takes inspiration from Nirvana, Bob Marley and Enrique Bunbury. The debut was greeted with much fanfare by the media and critics (the Miami Herald declared it the best Latin album of the year of 2004, for instance), and it was indeed an impressive debut. Before the album was even recorded, she managed to grab the attention of the AOL. They created Impulsa, a program built around her, which is the Latin version of Breakers (the same program that helped launch Avril Lavigne and Michelle Branch). They also recorded AOL Sessions, where JD's cover of Outkasts' "Hey Ya" debuted top 10 on their General Market chart in front of artists such as Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz and the Beastie Boys.
In addition, she caught the eye of MTV US by grabbing a spot not only as an Advanced Warning artist in August 2004 but also on Discover & Download in February 2005. Natasha made the cover of Maxim en Espanol in October of 2005 at 17 years old and caused many waves by being the youngest girl to pose for the elite Mens magazine.
Most recently, she garnished three Latin Grammy nominations: Best New Artist, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for Lagrimas. All of this before the age of 18! With plans to record a follow up album in English, the future looks bright for this rising star.

Como esta cancion
Lagrimas de amor
Fuiste, quizas nunca tuvista
Este corazon
Lagrimas de amor
Why te vas, why tevas
Why te vas, why te vas
No me queda nada
Por q no estas
Dime, ya nada yo dime
Antes de q muera el sol
Lagrimas de amor
Pide, los besos q me diste
Ya no creo en nada mas
Lagrimas de amor
Why te vas, why te vas
No me queda nada
Why te vas, why te vas
No me queda nada
Por q no estas, turu, turu
Me dejaste triste
Why te vas, why te vas
No me queda nada
Why te vas why te vas
No me queda nada
Porq no estas
The lyrics of JD Natasha's "Lagrimas" express a sense of deep sadness and heartbreak, which is evident throughout the entire song. The opening lyrics convey a feeling of being left alone and deserted, similar to how this melancholic song can make one feel. The use of the word "lagrimas" (tears) throughout the song portrays the intense emotions of the singer, who is in tears because of lost love. The singer feels incomplete and like she's been stripped away from everything she had.
As the song progresses, the singer asks why her lover had to leave, and admits that nothing is left for her now since he's gone. She then pleads with him to come back, and requests the kisses he once gave her, as she doesn't believe in anything anymore. While the chorus repeats the same lines multiple times, it emphasizes the desperation and helplessness the singer feels due to her lover leaving.
Overall, this song captures the essence of heartbreak and the feeling of being incomplete. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of the pain that occurs when love is lost.
