Lost In Adeline
Junction 18 Lyrics
Streets cry alone, in the land of Adelene
Populace few, but the smiles multiply two
All rise at the sundown
Torches light this dim town
And every once of bitter earth never slips the mind
They'll set you down
Don't lose your ground
In this tragic fairy tale
Not sure how it's told
You said:"If I live another year in this dusty ridden place"
"I will swim out to sea and make you all believe,
that I dont belong in the suburbs"
"Its been so long since the sun burned"
"Don't let me down and don't ever lie"
"Cuz I've lived here all this time,
and my whole life has been a useless whine"
"When all I ever wanted was a way out"
"This boredom knows me well"
"I'm sure you'll never tell"
Then that day, you were running
Mom and Dad had upset you
Better now than never
After all they will leave you
We'll leave you in the town of Adelene

Representatives from Fearless Records were searching for new talent at the time when Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory mentioned Junction 18. The band sent a demo in and were signed within the week. In the fall of 2000, Junction 18 -- vocalist Andy Bristol, bassist Ryan Spencer, drummer Chris Kelley, and guitarists Ryan McHugh and Scott Morganella -- released This Vicious Cycle on Fearless and spent time touring with bands like Dynamite Boy and the Stryder. They followed up two years later with the EP Heroes from the Future. The guys then appeared on The Acoustic Split alongside Over It in 2003, issued through Top Notch Records.
