The group's earliest incarnation included German drummer En Esch and British vocalist Raymond Watts, the latter of whom left and rejoined the group several times over its history. The trio recorded the band's earliest albums in Germany before Konietzko and Esch moved to the United States, where they found much greater success with seminal industrial record label Wax Trax!. German guitarist Günter Schulz joined in 1990; both he and Esch continued with the band until KMFDM broke up in 1999. Konietzko resurrected KMFDM in 2002 (Esch and Schulz declined to rejoin) on Metropolis Records, and by 2005 he had assembled a consistent line-up that included American singer Lucia Cifarelli, British guitarists Jules Hodgson and Steve White, and British drummer Andy Selway. Konietzko and Cifarelli moved back to Germany in 2007, while the rest of band stayed in the U.S. In addition to these core members, dozens of other musicians have worked with the group across its nineteen studio albums and two dozen singles, with sales totaling in excess of two million records worldwide.
Critics consider KMFDM to be one of the first bands to bring industrial music to mainstream audiences, though Konietzko refers to the band's music as "The Ultra-Heavy Beat". The band incorporates heavy metal guitar riffs, electronic music, samples, and both male and female vocals in its music, which encompasses a variety of styles including industrial rock and electronic body music (EBM). The band is fiercely political, with many of its lyrics taking stands against violence, war, and oppression. KMFDM normally tours at least once after every major release, and band members are known for their accessibility to and interaction with fans, both online and at concerts. Members, singly or working together and with other musicians, have recorded under many other names, primarily Watts' PIG, Konietzko's Excessive Force, and Esch and Schulz's Slick Idiot.

KMFDM Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
My sweet addiction I thee wed
You will work
I will win
I will drink in all your sin
Till gallon drunk I hit the ground
Your reason rhymes with pence & pounds
Money makes morality
My decency
Your cheapest cut is sweet corrosion
The interest due is never frozen
Pass the bill
Have your thrill
There's a pill for all your ills
You will condemn
I'll convert
You will preach
I will pervert
Lay on your face
And beg
That the mercy of god
Will come upon you
The lyrics of KMFDM's song "Preach/Pervert" are thought-provoking and reveal the band's cynical view of the society's values. The opening lines "Blackened blood that stains this bed, my sweet addiction I thee wed" suggests a dark, addictive, and dangerous relationship where the singer is committed to their addiction, even though it stains them. The following lines "You will work, I will win, I will drink in all your sin, till gallon drunk I hit the ground" portrays a relationship of dominance and submissiveness where the partner who works is defeated by the partner who wins and drinks in all of their sin. The line "Your reason rhymes with pence and pounds" implies that money is the only motivation for the other partner, revealing the corruptness of the relationship.
The chorus of the song "You will condemn, I'll convert, you will preach, I will pervert" represents the contradictory viewpoints of two individuals in the relationship, one who condemns and another who converts. The lines "Your cheapest cut is sweet corrosion, the interest due is never frozen" symbolize the corrupt and deceitful nature of the other partner, who takes advantage of the singer's vulnerability. The final lines of the song, "Lay on your face and beg, that the mercy of god will come upon you" imply a feeling of hopelessness, where the singer is praying for divine intervention in a situation where they have lost control.

Eight Coins
Late but heres the List:
Obvious Ones:Sascha Konietzko,Raymond Watts,En Esch;Lucia Cifarelli
First Performance (not clear who did vocals and if there were even were vocals):
Sascha Konietzko
Udo Sturm
Sturm left quickly after that
KMFDM had 20 members after that,Sascha joined some other band, but still did KMFDM
eventually En Esch joined
Ton Geist is credited on Opium, but no one knows who or what that is referring to
What Do You Know Deutschland? and Dont Blow Your Top are just the 3 (Watts,Koneitzko,Esch)
Blackmale is credited on Lufthans and Dont Blow Your Top,but im pretty sure thats just Sascha distorting his voice
Morgan Adej did part of the vocals for UAIOE,seems like that was a black studio musician who was into reggea
Sigrid Meyer seems to be the one behind the female vocals on that Album
Watts temporarily left at this point,so that leaves it as:Koneitzko,Morgan Adej,Sigrid Meyer,En Esch
Rudolph Naomi was somehow involved, interesting enough
Some songs also featured FM Einheit from Einstürzende Neubauten
Naive Günter Schulz joined and Adej died while Sigrid meye just split,so else it stayed the same
Though Christine Siewert joined for Female Vocals
Money was the same, just that now Dorona Alberti also joined for vocals
Angst Siewert left, and Dorona Alberti stayed
Mark Durante and Chris Shepard (not the one from Skinny Puppy) also joined on Angst, but not clear if they did any vocals, most likely only chorus backing
KMFDM vs PIG should be obvious
Nihil Watts returned, but else the line up stayed the same
XTORT is the infamous En Esch and Watts leave,Cherily Wilson and Chris Conelly joined (im pretty sure hes on vocals in Rules)
FM Einheit also returned, but for the last time (he worked on Dogma and Ikons, propably the noise parts)
Nicole Blackman does the Spoken Word parts in Dogma
Symbols En Esch and Watts returned, but Abbi Travis took Dorona Alberti's place,Skold also joined (Vocals on Anarchy)(later also Skurk, and some other songs I cant think off on top of my head)
Torture has Nivek Ogre from Skinny Puppy on Vocals
Adios dropped Abii Travis, but had 2 songs with Guest Features from Nina Hagen (Wittness,Bereit),but else it also was the Schulz/Skold/Konietzko/En Esch/Watts/Ogre (on vocals on:Thats All,Full Worm Garden)
2002 was pretty much the reboot,so line up had huge changes
En Esch and Schulz entirely left to do their own thing
Dorona Alberti reappared on a version of Boots on the single, but else it was Skold/Konietzko/Lucia
Attack was Watt's return, line up to that time was Lucia,Sascha,Watts,Skold,Bill Rieflin
Lucias parts are pretty much the only female parts so thats obvious
Skurk,Save Me and Risen has main vocals by Skold
Dirty,Yohoho and Preach & Pervert has main vocals by Watts
WWIII Jules Hodgson and Andy Selway joined, but else the line up was the same
Skold also left
Áfter WWIII Watts left
Though he still was present on the tour, which also featured Steve White
Hau Ruck was Steve White/Selway/Koneitzko/Hodgson/Lucia
The remix album obviously have other credits, cuz remixes so ill ignore them
this lineup stayed same for Tohuvabohu
Before Blitz Selway left though and Skold rejoined
KMFDM VS Skold is a bit too obvious again
WTF lineup seems to be: Sascha/Lucia/Steve White/Hodgson
also a few guest performances
which also include Vocals by Che Eckert (Rebels In Kontrol),Take It Like A Man (Free Dominiguez),William Winson (Spectre)
Kunst seems to be Selway/Hodgson/Lucia/Sascha
Though William Winson is on Vocals on Next Big Things and J Strauss on The Mess you made (all features I guess)
Our Time Will Come seems to be the same lineup, just minus the features
Hell Yeah is Chris Harms/Selyway/Hodgson/Sascha/Lucia/Annabella Asia
Hell Yeah vocals are Chris Harms and Annabella Asia
Abby Martins does the vocals for Opression 1 & 2
im late I now,
Semi ontopic thing on the end,Hell Yeah is such a nice come back from how mediocre the last few albums after Blitz were
TheRundown37
I think this song best showcases the creepy quality of Raymond Watts's voice.
