Honnête dans un monde d’infidèles
Quand j’tais ti-cul, mon rêve, c’tait d’faire l’amour
The lyrics to Kaïn's song "Mexico" talk about the singer's appreciation for the simple yet beautiful things in life: his love for his partner, their shared moments together, and their mutual desire for happiness. He describes himself as an honest person in a world of unfaithful people, and notes his gradual growth and maturity over time. As a young man, his dream was to have casual relationships and later on, it evolved into a desire for a long-lasting love.
He appreciates the time spent with his partner, stating that it feels just as beautiful as being in a tropical paradise like Mexico or Fiji. The beauty he finds is in being with his partner, and he highlights the importance of their bond by expressing his need to be close to them always. The chorus repeats the message that any kind of paradise will do as long as they have each other to forget the trials of the world.
The song accurately captures the essence of love in a simple yet meaningful way. The singer understands that true happiness isn't found in wealth or material possessions, but rather in the relationships we make and cherish in our lives. The lyrics also carry a message of personal growth and evolution, as the singer reflects on his past and how his desires have changed.
