Kryštof's first album Magnetické Pole was released in 2001 and was a great success, with singles like Lolita, Ženy and Cosmoshop all charting. Their second album V siločarách came a year later, with single Obchodník s deštěm becoming an instant hit. A remix album, 03, followed in 2003.
In 2004 they released their fourth album, Mikrokosmos, for which Kryštof was awarded the prestigious 'Anděl' prize for Album of the Year. 2005 was the year of their first arena concert tour, which was captured and released as live CD and DVD Ži(v)je. 2006 saw their sixth release in six years, with album Rubikon earning more accolades and was followed by another giant tour in support of the album. In 2007 they released their first greatest hits album, Poločas (translated as 'Halftime'), which included their latest hit single Atentát, from the film 'Bobule'.
Their latest album, Jeviště, was released in 2010, which coincided with the release of biography film 'KryštOFF/ON' and an in-cinema concert tour in support of it.

Jak ztracená střelka hledajíc kompas,
Jak poslední mažoret ze sta,
Jak básníř z Ostrava City, jak terorista,
Jak ranní smutek všech našich prostitutek,
Tak i já mám svědomí v bezvědomí
A znám pár přístavů
Že přesto ztroskotávám,
A vím, že tříštím...
Znám pár přístavů
A pocit mám,
Že přesto ztroskotávám,
A vím, že tříštím... se v půl…
Jak slzy krasobruslařek,
Jak něha vdechujícího dehtu,
Jak poslední výkřiky módy
Jak milující se páry, před rozvody,
Jak radost v lesku, všedního stesku,
Tak i já mám svědomí, v bezvědomí
A znám pár přístavů
A pocit mám,
Že přesto ztroskotávám,
A vím, že tříštím...
A znám pár přístavů
A pocit mám,
Že přesto ztroskotávám,
A vím, že tříštím...
A znám pár přístavů
A pocit mám,
Že přesto ztroskotávám,
A vím, že tříštím...
A znám pár přístavů
A pocit mám,
Že přesto ztroskotávám,
A vím, že tříštím...
…se v půl
"Švědomí" by Krystof is an emotional song that delves into the complexities of conscience and self-awareness. In the opening lines, the singer compares his conscience to ephemeral things like soap bubbles, a lost compass, a solitary baton-twirler, a poet from Ostrava City, and a terrorist. He then goes on to liken it to the morning sadness of all the prostitutes, emphasizing the universal nature of the feeling of guilt and the weight that it carries.
The singer speaks of knowing a few harbors, possibly alluding to the fact that he has seen and experienced a lot throughout his life. But despite that, he feels like he is still shipwrecking and falling apart. The repetition of this line underscores the sense of recurring failure that plagues the singer.
The second verse continues in a similar vein, drawing parallels between the singer's conscience and other things, like the tears of figure skaters, the sweetness of inhaling tar, the last screams of fashion, and the love that fades before a divorce. The chorus repeats, affirming the singer's knowledge of some ports and his feelings of falling apart despite that knowledge.
