Passiflora Caerulea
Lacroix Despheres Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Yurameku hanabira ni hitotsu
Matataku namidairo no yotsuyu
Kizanda toki no nagare kara
Koboreta hitoshizuku no yume

Medeshi oto ni tsutsumareta hi wa hakanai
Ushinawareta hitohirano tsuki wa
Itsu michi kakeru?

Nakushita hane habatakase
Kono mi ano sora he

Ureibana no mitsu wa kedakaku shitatari maichiru sonohi
made kagayaku
Nagai toki wo kizami tsudsukete

Kasuka ni kikoeru shirabe wa
Kiseki wo inorishi rekuiemu

Ano hito ga nokoshita kotoba ni komerareta
"Shi wo wasurezu ni iki yo" to utau ano senritsu mo
Itsu no ma ni ka wasurerare
Sugishi hi no yami he

Shizukanaru sekai de mitsumeru sono me ni aisuru
monotachi wa dou utsuru no?
Hatenu omoi idaki tsudukete

Yume ni sarishi hito no sugata wo omoeba kono yo ni
ikirumono ha kanarazu
Aratanaru sekai ni omoi wo hasete
Anata wo utai tsudsukete iku

Amai kaze ni soyogi nagara

Overall Meaning

The opening lines of Lacroix Despheres's song Passiflora Caerulea present a beautiful and fragile image. The trembling petals are delicate, and the dewdrops on them reflect the color of tears. The second line of the verse suggests that the person who sings this song is also fragile and vulnerable, prone to sadness and pain. The third and fourth lines refer to memories that have been etched into the flow of time, and a broken dream that spilled out in a single drop.

The following verse speaks of the transience of things, how fleeting moments of happiness and beauty can be, and the deep sorrow that comes from loss. But even in the face of such sadness, there is a call to action, a reminder to spread one's wings and fly towards the heavens. The chorus talks of a sweet nectar dripping with grace that shines until that day, and how this time should be used to carve out a deep meaning, leaving behind the traces of long passed time.

The third verse speaks to the uncertainty of life and the fragility of memories. It speaks of the importance of living life to the fullest and cherishing every moment. The final verse of the song reminds us of the importance of love and of the beauty that it brings. It awakens in us the desire to create new memories in this world and the hope that we can do so by singing loudly and with all our hearts.
