Le Couple Lyrics

The lyrics of "DRUMS" by Le Couple depict a deep emotional struggle and internal turmoil that the singer is experiencing. The opening lines convey a sense of familiarity with pain and inner wounds, symbolized by the beating of drums in the chest. The imagery of knowing the sore spots and the wounds that constantly bleed reflects how the singer is aware of their emotional vulnerabilities and the lingering effects of past hurts.
The mention of trembling in the darkness of the night and questioning why the feelings can still be heard despite trying to ignore them suggests a sense of unease and inner turmoil that cannot be easily dismissed or suppressed. The busy distractions of everyday life are highlighted as a way to mask the pain and discomfort, but ultimately, the ache in the heart remains palpable and persistent. The poison that lurks in the depths of the heart and the unsettling vibrations that seem to resonate against emotions further emphasize the internal conflict that the singer is grappling with.
The chorus of the song underscores the urgency and intensity of releasing all pent-up emotions and breaking down the barriers that shield vulnerability. The repetitive rhythm symbolizes the cyclical nature of emotions and the need to confront and process them in order to find relief and catharsis. The continued references to vibrations and tears suggest a cleansing and healing process that comes from acknowledging and expressing one's innermost feelings, even in the midst of overwhelming emotions.
The final lines of the lyrics express a willingness to listen and endure the pain until the poison dissipates, indicating a journey towards healing and resolution. The soothing effect of shedding tears in a downpour and the slight sense of relief that follows hint at a glimmer of hope and transformation amidst the emotional turmoil. Overall, "DRUMS" conveys a poignant message about embracing vulnerability, facing inner demons, and finding solace in the process of emotional release and healing.
