Rock and Roll
Led Zeppelin Lyrics

It's been a long time since I rock and rolled
It's been a long time since I did the stroll
Ooh let me get it back, let me get it back
Let me get it back, baby, where I come from

It's been a long time, been a long time
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time
Yes, it has
It's been a long time since the book of love
I can't count the tears of a life with no love
Carry me back, carry me back
Carry me back, baby, where I come from, whoa-oh-oh

It's been a long time, been a long time
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time

Oh seems so long since we walked in the moonlight
Making vows that just can't work right, oh yeah
Open your arms, opens your arms
Open your arms, baby, let love come running in, yeah
It's been a long time, been a long time
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time

Yeah-hey, yeah-hey, yeah-hey, yeah-hey

Ooh yeah, ooh yeah
Ooh yeah, ooh yeah
It's been a long time, been a long time
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time

Led Zeppelin is the best band ever. John Bonham is an absolute animal on the drums. He literally hits the high hat about 400 times alone in this song. The guy was literally the sound of Led Zeppelin. No disrespect to the incredible jimmy page and Jon Paul Jones because they are some of the best musicians to ever live. Let’s not forget the voice, the legendary Robert plant. They had it all.

@Ed The Who is definitely on my top 10. Not top 5 though.

@Guitar Junkie Peart is not even in the same league as Bonham.

@Aqeel Asif "second has to be ACDC." More like The Who or Pink Floyd.

4 Rock gods never to be bettered EVER. People make me laugh when they think today's artists are the best but I've yet to see an artist in the last 20 years play their instruments live like these guys did with out computers, looped tracks, or brought in musicians playing behind a curtain. These guys were just pure talent. It's such a pity that John Paul Jones stayed out of the camera angle so much as his bass riffs were the backbone of Zeppelin.

Then you haven’t seen The Allman Brothers. Or Tedeschi Trucks. Amazing musicians. So good in fact that John Paul Jones used to pop in as a special guest. .
