Come into my world of freedom
Come into my world of freedom
Come into my world of freedom
Freedom is
Where happiness is
Its in your eyes
In your eyes
A world of its own
Its in your mind
Come into my world of freedom
Come into my world of freedom
Come into my world of freedom
Come into my world of freedom
I want you to see
Just how it could be
Wait a while
Wait a while
I'll take the blame
I'll show you the place
Where we'll be
Where we'll be
Come into my world of freedom
Come into my world of freedom
Come into my world of freedom
Come into my world of freedom
The lyrics to "Come Into My Palace" by Lee & The Leopards are a plea for someone to join the singer in a world of freedom, where happiness resides. The repetition of the phrase, "Come into my world of freedom," emphasizes the importance of this invitation. It's as if the singer believes that freedom is the key to unlocking a fulfilling life, and they want their listener to experience it too. This idea is reinforced with the lines, "Freedom is where happiness is, it's in your eyes." The singer believes that by embracing freedom, one can find happiness and joy.
Furthermore, the singer defines freedom as a world of its own, one that exists in your mind. They urge the listener to come into their world of freedom, to experience the freedom that they have found. The repetition of the phrase, "Wait a while," highlights the singer's patience and willingness to wait until the listener is ready to experience freedom. They want to take the blame for anything that may go wrong and show the listener the place where they can experience freedom together.
Overall, "Come Into My Palace" is a song that encourages listeners to embrace freedom and find happiness in their lives. The song's optimistic tone and catchy beat further enforce this message.

A good early Motown single was "Come Into My Palace" by Lee & the Leopards. The Gordy Records single featured a hokey '50s bass intro and inspired wailing. Lee was Lee Henry Moore, and the Leopards, well, there was Prentiss Anderson and unknowns. Moore, Brian Holland, and William Stevenson composed the April 1962 release that the Supremes redid as a ballad
