On January 26, 1986, French humorist Coluche, who had set up Les Restos du Cœur a few months earlier, invited a number of artists and public figures to appear on television as a promotional move. The band, whose line-up was never the same, was dubbed "Les Enfoirés" in reference to one of Coluche's catchwords. After Coluche died in a motorbike accident (June 19, 1986) his widow, Véronique Colucci, called on those who had participated to continue his actions, and the band was revived for a further television show. The concept has since evolved into an annual concert, bringing together up to forty artists and celebrities from various backgrounds. The funds raised by the concerts and derived records under the name "Enfoirés" are donated to Les Restos du Cœur.
One of the key features of Les Enfoirés is "La Chanson des Enfoirés", a song which became a sort of hymn to the charity, written by Jean-Jacques Goldman, a long-time supporter of the organisation.

The lyrics to Les Enfoirés's song "Morgane de toi" tell a story of a protective and loving narrator addressing a young girl named Lolita. The song begins by describing a boy, referred to as a "mariole," who tries to take Lolita's toys and treats. The singer urges Lolita to defend herself and not let herself be bothered by these immature boys who only think about playing doctor.
The singer then expresses his deep connection with Lolita, emphasizing that he feels like a ghost when she is not around. He states that he is "Morgane de toi," which can be interpreted as a play on words combining the name Morgane with "m'organe de toi" (my organ for you), suggesting a metaphorical understanding of love and devotion. The singer clearly adores Lolita and cherishes their relationship.
The second stanza takes a more poetic turn, as the singer expresses his frustration with getting meaningless tattoos on his skin. Instead, he opts to write Lolita's name with golden nails, symbolizing a more permanent and profound connection. He praises Lolita's weight, comparing her to a light sparrow, and warns her not to display her full potential, lest she attract unwanted attention from young boys.
As the song progresses, the singer addresses Lolita's desire for a sibling, explaining that babies cannot be bought in stores and doubting that her mother would agree to him fathering another child. He questions the need for more people in the world, highlighting the underlying problems and unhappiness that many children face. He invites Lolita to join him in his struggle and promises to create a safe space for all the children in his metaphorical "ark." The song concludes by encouraging Lolita to make the most of the opportunities and freedom they have while they still can.
Overall, "Morgane de toi" is a poignant and heartfelt song that conveys themes of protection, love, and the importance of cherishing childhood.
