Los Pericos Lyrics

No more police
To stop the greenpeace lover
No more police
To stop the greenpeace lover
I don't wanna looking thieves games
Don't wanna red red lights
City eyes
Give me a chance
Let me breathe
Don't take me
To the jail
No more police
To stop the greenpeace lover
No more police
To stop the greenpeace lover
The lyrics to Los Pericos's song "Ojos De Ciudad" describe a desire to break free from the constraints of city life and its associated bureaucracy. The repeated lines "No more police to stop the greenpeace lover" suggest a frustration with the law-enforcement presence that seems to inhibit the singer's ability to live freely and do good in the world. The phrase "city eyes" also implies a sense of constant surveillance and scrutiny, which can be suffocating for those who feel they must conform to societal norms.
The second half of the lyrics continues this theme of wanting more autonomy and space to exist outside of the confines of the law. The line "Don't wanna looking thieves games" seems to suggest a fear of being targeted by police, while "Don't wanna red red lights" could refer to both traffic signals and the metaphorical "red flags" that often cause people to be suspicious of others. The refrain "Let me breathe" reinforces the feeling of suffocation that the singer experiences, while "Don't take me to the jail" reveals the fear of being punished for breaking the law, even if the singer believes their actions to be justified.
Overall, Los Pericos's "Ojos De Ciudad" is an anthem of resistance against the ways in which society can limit our freedom to act ethically and compassionately. The repeated refrain of "No more police to stop the greenpeace lover" suggests a desire to live in a world where doing good is not seen as a crime, and where freedom of movement and expression are respected.
