Their "Mi Agüita amarilla" single (My Yellow Water) is still well-known and it stays as one of the symbols of the "Movida Madrileña" movement in the Spanish collective mind. Being their main hit, the lyrics describe what happens to the "yellow water" coming out of our body as it "spreads all over the world and turns the jungle green and falls over you all again. The group was also famous for their various appearances on the young audience targeted "La Bola de Cristal" TV Show hosted by the singer and another "Movida" symbol Alaska.
Disbanded in 1992, Pablo Carbonell is still a well known TV showman.

Los Toreros Muertos Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Esperándome a mí
Llego con mi deportivo rosa
Y le invito a subir
Uy! Qué torpe se ha llevado el coche
Me ha dejado su dinero
Tirado en el suelo
No me pidas pelas nena
No me pidas pelas que estoy en la CEE
Corro a comprar tabacos italianos
Quiero bailar igual que Celentano
Tengo seis Fred Perry
Tengo dos pelotas
Tengo tres smokings
En el guardarropas
Todo lo he comprado
En el despacho del inglés
Evidentemente yo soy un burgués
No me pidas pelas nena
Que tengo un chulo que mantener
No me pidas pelas que estoy en la CEE
The lyrics of Los Toreros Muertos's song C.E. Carretas describes the story of the singer José Luis who is waiting for someone in front of the Carretas cinema. The singer arrives in a pink sports car and invites José Luis to join. However, in the process of getting in the car, José Luis drops his money on the ground. He tells the singer not to ask for money since he has a pimp to maintain and he is also in the European Economic Community (CEE).
The singer then hurries off to buy Italian cigarettes and wants to dance like Celentano. He brags about his possessions, owning six Fred Perry shirts, two balls, and three smoking jackets in the wardrobe. He claims to have purchased everything at the English office and sees himself as a bourgeois despite José Luis' impoverished status. The song lampoons the mannerism of the nouveau riche and their desire to flaunt their wealth, often at the expense of those less fortunate.
