Acqua Marã
No parquinho oxáiê
Quem esteve aqui
Via barquinhos de gazeta
Ancorar no mistério
Notas musicais
Ouvindo sininhos
Magamalabares is a song by Marisa Monte that beautifully captures the whimsical and dreamlike quality of childhood memories. The opening line "Acqua Mara" references a waterpark in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the singer spent time as a child. The second line "No parquinho oxáiê" refers to a playground where the singer and others played and had fun. The following line "Quem esteve aqui" is a question that reflects on who was present in these memories, whether it be friends or family members.
The next couple of lines paint a picture of children watching small boats made from newspaper sail by, and the mystery of where they ultimately end up. The song then shifts focus to musical notes and soap bubbles, which are seen as symbols of the nostalgia and longing that are often present in childhood memories. The final lines suggest that while the world can be an uncertain and confusing place, having faith in God can help us feel less alone and more comforted as we navigate life's journey.

Magamalabares
(Neologia de Magas + Malabares. Malabarismo feito pelas energias, entidades, feiticeira, orixás femininos.)
Quem esteve aqui
Viu barquinho de gazeta
Ancorar no mistério
bem-vinda
a trilha
(Os anjos de onde vem? E os orixás? Cada um com sua vida. Seja bem vinda.
Ouvindo sininhos

Was seeing a little boat of gazette (or newspaper)
Anchor in the mystery
Musical notes
Among soap bubbles
Which of our serenades have come from
Flowers we offer
And they will never die
In pots and jars they get tanned
The angels, where are they from?
