Berović said in 2016 about her childhood during the Bosnian War: "I had the bad fortune to belong to the generation that grew up during the war in Bosnia. I carry many ugly, and beautiful memories from that period of my life. The ugly memories include my family's relocation in search of a peaceful life, even though, at the time, I was not fully aware of the horrors of the situation. I spent most of my days playing, like any child."

In "Ledena Kraljica," Maya Berović sings about a woman who is frozen emotionally but longs for someone's attention. Many are drawn to her beauty, but she is only interested in the person who occupies her private booth. Despite her reservations, she is intrigued by this man who is physically close but emotionally distant. Through her lyrics, Berović hints that this woman has been hurt before and that she is therefore hesitant to approach people. Even as the man seeks to lure her in, she remains wary and makes no attempt to hide the fact that she is cautious.
The song's title, which translates to "Ice Queen" in English, reflects the singer's use of ice imagery throughout the song.
