The lyrics to Melina Aslanidou's song "Kanis Den Irthe" convey feelings of disappointment and loneliness. The singer expresses that nobody came, nobody came to light their cigarette or hear their cries. It seems that this party was a failure, and in the town of Eleusis, their body rests abandoned and forgotten in the shipyards.
The singer continues to express their sadness and sense of abandonment. Nobody came to see them at their best, now that their black and white journeys have ended. Nobody learned how they got into trouble, and how tonight they will fall into the same patterns again.
The repetition of "Kanis Den Irthe" emphasizes the absence and the disappointment that the singer feels. They long for someone to come and be there for them, to light their cigarette and listen to their cries. But all they have is a bitter voice that laughs to avoid crying. Nobody came, nobody came.
Overall, the lyrics paint a picture of a person who feels let down and alone. They yearn for someone to share their troubles and bring some light into their life, but nobody comes. The repetition of the phrase "Kanis Den Irthe" adds to the sense of desolation and longing.
