The lyrics of Melina Aslanidou's song Prin Tin Avgi reflect the loneliness and isolation that comes from being alone in a deserted city during a harsh winter night. The opening lines paint a picture of snowflakes dancing outside while everything else is frozen. The deserted city is described as a place where only wild weather and plastic papers are left behind. As the night falls, all the beauty of the evening disappears, as everything good in life seems to have gone to sleep and only loneliness remains as her companion during dinner.
The chorus repeats and emphasizes the desolation and loneliness of the deserted city, where silence reigns and the darkness before dawn is the deepest. Despite the song's melancholic tone, there is an underlying hope that the dawn will bring something different, and the darkness will end someday.
Overall, Prin Tin Avgi is a poignant and stirring song that evokes the feeling of sadness and isolation that comes with the winter season or loneliness. It's a song that captures the mood and emotions in a beautiful and elegant way.
