The song "Thalassa" by Melina Aslanidou reflects the feeling of pain and loss when someone you love leaves you. The lyrics start with a series of questions: "In which sea are you sailing? In which hidden beach are you going? Where are you going, where are you returning? What do you have in your mind?" The singer pleads with the person leaving not to torment her and asks what she has done wrong to cause their pain. She offers to open up her own wounds so that the other person can forget about their own, but it seems that the singer is the only one feeling the sting of heartbreak.
As the song progresses, the singer reveals that she cannot love anyone else like she loves the person who left her. She thinks about them every night and morning and cannot get them out of her head. She cannot find comfort in anyone else's arms, and she feels like she is losing them, prompting her to drink her tears as if they are water. The song concludes with the singer asking the sea to become her bed, and the breeze to blow away her suffering. She hopes to forget the love she has given to the person who left her and wake up somewhere new.
In summary, "Thalassa" is a beautiful, melancholic song that conveys the sadness and desperation of lost love. It shows how heartbreak can leave a person drained and alone, unable to find affection anywhere else. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of someone adrift on the seas of sorrow, waiting for the winds of change to bring them to a new shore.

Take me and turn me around
To flutter and wake up
