After having worked with the group of Vigon, Lemons, he created the group King Set in 1966 with his friend and guitarist Alain Goldstein. Two radio successes make known his voice and his talent for the rhythm: an original composition, Apesanteur (Weightlessness), in 1967, and Jezebel in 1968. His solo career began slowly with a 45t at the end of 1968 under the name of Michel Kingset, the following in 1970 under his own name. He has to wait until 1974 to find a large audience with two simultaneous "tubes": Say to me and Super Nana.

Les années qu' t' as passées avec moi
Faudrait penser aux jours à venir
On a encore d' l'avenir
T' as mis tes projets dans l' formol
T' as mis tes projets dans l' formol
(bis)
J' suis plus là, j' suis plus là, j' suis plus là
La la la la la la
J' suis plus là, j' suis plus là, j' suis plus là
La la la la la la
The lyrics to Michel Jonasz's song "Les réussites" reflect on the changes in a relationship over time and the need to continue to strive for success and adventure. The opening lines express the desire for the other person to continue to achieve "réussites," or successes, throughout their life rather than focusing on how quickly time passes. The song then references a game of cards, where the singer asks if they are still under the "dame de pique" and wonders about the future, including how many trips they will take and whether they will be rich or poor. The chorus repeats the lines "why have you become so soft? / You've put your plans in formaldehyde / like those who work for retirement / everything is organized, fixed, honest / you're in first class of a train of life / that no longer stops at flowery stations / why, why are you never 'paf' / like when you used to roll on the ground, 'plaf'! / you would get up saying la la / I think I no longer know where I am, I am no longer there."
The song seems to be commenting on the way that relationships can become stagnant over time, with one partner becoming complacent and settling into routine while the other longs for more adventure and excitement. The metaphor of a card game reminds us that life is unpredictable and that we cannot predict the future with certainty. The use of informal language and colloquialisms adds to the sense of intimacy and familiarity between the two partners. Overall, the message of the song is about the importance of continuing to grow and (re)discover each other throughout a relationship, rather than just settling into a comfortable routine.
