MO3 was born Melvin Noble in 1992. His rap debut came in the form of his 2014 mixtape, Shottaz. On the strength of that effort, he developed a local following and inked a deal with his idol, rapper Boosie Badazz. The sequel to his debut, Shottaz Reloaded, arrived at the close of 2015. The album featured "Hold Ya Tongue," which went on to become a moderate hit for MO3, notching nearly two million streaming views in the year after its release. Reloaded hit number 14 on the Billboard Rap chart, climbing to number two on the Heatseekers chart. His follow-up, 4 Indictments, appeared in late 2016 and topped the Heatseekers chart early the following year. He also issued the Gangsta Love, Pt. 1 mixtape in 2017.
Badazz MO3MO3's 2018 project Shottaz 3.0 would include one of his biggest hits yet, the cautionary "Errybody," which also racked up millions in streaming numbers. The next year found MO3 mainly releasing singles, including the Aaliyah-sampling "No Feelings" and the stormy "Too Much Pride." In February 2020, he teamed with storied Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz for the collaborative mixtape Badazz MO3. The project quickly entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 136.
Noble was shot and killed on November 11, 2020. While being pursued by another vehicle as he was driving on Interstate 35 in Dallas, he crashed on the side of the road and attempted to flee on foot before an unidentified gunman shot him in the back of the head.

The lyrics of Mo3's song "Oh Yeah" depict a narrative of struggle and success. The song begins with a phone conversation between Mo3 and someone named Tre Dae. Tre Dae asks Mo3 what he's doing, to which Mo3 responds that he's not sleeping yet. The conversation is filled with affectionate goodnight wishes and expressions of love. This opening sets a personal and intimate tone for the song.
Mo3 then goes on to declare that he didn't write the lyrics but believes that listeners will enjoy them. He addresses the haters who want to copy his style and boasts about his sexual prowess. The lyrics transition to Mo3 reflecting on his journey from poverty to a life of luxury. He mentions going from sleeping on the floor to eating expensive meals like Fettuccine Shrimp and Rice, and shooting dice on the block.
He also talks about his involvement in street activities like selling drugs and how he refuses to let anyone disrespect him. Mo3 acknowledges the responsibility he feels towards his children, ensuring a better life for them. However, he expresses concern about his relationships with his baby mamas, hoping they won't keep his children away from him.
The chorus reinforces Mo3's determination to succeed despite the challenges he faced. He has witnessed death throughout his life but has set his sights on winning a Grammy. He emphasizes his self-reliance, highlighting that he achieved everything on his own without help from anyone.
In the second verse, Mo3 addresses the change in his financial situation and how it affected his relationships. He reflects on former friendships, alluding to betrayal, but also acknowledges his rise from riding the bus to owning a Benz. Mo3 speaks about some of his friends getting arrested and becoming police officers, illustrating the complexity and pain he feels about their choices.
The lyrics then criticize the lack of morals in some women who prioritize material possessions and sexual encounters over meaningful relationships. Mo3 criticizes the obsession with social media, where people flaunt their bodies and desire attention. He advises against putting value on superficial things like expensive cars and highlights the contradictions between seeking commitment but lacking domestic skills.
Overall, "Oh Yeah" explores Mo3's personal experiences, his rise from poverty to success, and his observations on society's values and moral decay.
