Ajram was born on May 16th, 1983 to Nabil Ajram and Rimonda Oun, as the eldest of two siblings, Nadine Nariman Ajram and Nabil Ajram Jr. She started singing at the age of eight, when she appeared for the first time in 1991 at a singing contest for kids on national television in Lebanon. In 1995, at the age of twelve, Nancy Ajram took part in the entertainment show, Noujoum Al-Moustakbal, ("Stars of the Future"), a Lebanese television musical competition, winning a gold medal in the Tarab category after singing a song by Umm Kulthum.
Ajram studied music following her early success with renowned Lebanese musicians and although she was less than 18 years old, the syndicate of professional artists in Lebanon accepted her as a member because they found her to be an exceptional talent and deserved to be qualified as a professional artist. Shortly afterwards Nancy released her first album, Mihtagalak ("I Need You') in 1998, with most of its songs holding a pure Tarab style, thus starting her music career at the age of 15. It was followed by Sheel Oyoonak Anni ("Take Your Eyes Off Of Me") in 2000, which achieved more success.

The lyrics "Ya Habibi ya eini, ya eini ya leili" of Nancy Ajram's song "Habibi Ya Einy" translate to "My love, my eyes, my night, my eyes, my night." The song expresses the singer's intense love for her partner, yearning for their companionship day and night. The lyrics create a dreamy and romantic mood as she talks about how her eyes miss her partner's presence and long to see him. The chorus repeats itself, emphasizing the longing and how much the singer misses the love of her life.
The second verse, "Beiu judek yabu samra," talks about the color of her partner's eyes, which are rich brown, and how he keeps her awake at night with his presence. "Weil heilou bei yetiwal omra'" means that she hopes they will be together for a lifetime, and "Wein ghani ya eini ya leil" means her eyes and nights belong to her partner. The song continues with the lyrics describing how music can heal her broken heart, but the love of her partner helps her through the pain.
Overall, "Habibi Ya Einy" is a touching love song with beautiful lyrics, expressing the intense emotions of a person in love. The song has become a staple of Arabic music, and Nancy Ajram's soulful voice brings out the depth of the song, capturing the attention and hearts of many listeners.
