Don't do it, not in a hundred years
You know it
You feel it, I do too
Just listen
Something is calling you
What difference do you think that it makes
I know it
I feel it, you do too
Just listen
You'll hear it calling you
What difference do you think that it makes
If you give, or if it's you who takes?
I know it
I feel it, you do too
Just listen
You'll hear it calling you
The lyrics of Norah Jones's song "Something Is Calling You" offer insightful advice on listening to your inner voice and following your intuition. The lines "Don't tell them, they'll only drink your tears" and "Don't do it, not in a hundred years" can be interpreted as warnings against sharing vulnerable emotions and heedlessly pursuing external validation, respectively. Rather than seeking approval from others, the singer urges the listener to trust their own instincts: "You know it, you feel it, I do too." The repetition of the phrase "something is calling you" throughout the song emphasizes the idea that there is a guiding force within us that can lead us towards our true purpose.
