Original Love is a Japanese rock band.
It started in 1986 as "Red Curtain", a five member band that ended up as an individual (his name is Tajima Takao) also known as OL.
in 1988-1990, Tajima Takao worked not only on OL but also with Pizzicato Five. By the 90's OL was categorized as "Shibuya-kei", influencing many of the artists to follow.

The lyrics for "Futatsu no Te no Yoni" by ORIGINAL LOVE are a poetic representation of the love between two people. The first verse describes how the two lovers are like two hands, always coming together and separating from each other, playing innocently together. As time passes, their love grows stronger and more flexible, like their arms drawing closer in a curved motion. However, even though their love is not easily forgotten, it is marked in the heart of the person looking down and reflecting on their memories of the past summer, which is now past.
The second verse invites imagery of an orange twilight, reflecting like cellophane on the surface of the sea. The two hands of the lovers continue to reach for each other, coming together in curved motion, as time continues to pass. The last part of the lyrics invite the symbolism of silver horizon and nameless birds chasing each other. Wind plays with the hair of the lover as it moves to the unknown destination. At last, both lover's flexible arms come together in a curved motion, as the summer day comes to an end.
