Regalarte una flor
Pero diciembre llego
Con él la playa y calor
La primavera se derritió
He pensado en
Escribirte una canción
A una fiesta de verano
Baby
Óyelo
La luna se embriago
Y se puso a bailar
No quiero na na na
Pero si quiero estar
La noche entera contigo
Óyelo
Tirados en la arena
Óyelo
Contando las estrellas
Óyelo
Descalzos en la arena
Óyelo
Mirando las estrellas

The lyrics of Olimpo Cardenas's song Piensalo Bien are a mix of thoughtful and nostalgic emotions. The singer contemplates different ways of expressing his affection to a loved one, like giving her a flower or writing a song. However, he ends up getting caught up in the excitement of summer parties and spending endless nights with his love, surrounded by the beauty of the beach and stars. The song depicts the feeling of being in the present moment and enjoying the company of one's special someone, even if it means abandoning other plans or commitments.
The recurring phrase "Óyelo" (which means "listen" in Spanish) invites the listener to pay attention to the sounds and sensations of love and summer. It is a call to be present and mindful of the small moments that make life memorable. The lyrics evoke images of warm weather, soft sand, clear skies, and romantic intimacy. They also touch on the bittersweet reality of time passing and seasons changing, as December arrives and spring melts away. Overall, Piensalo Bien is a poetic tribute to the joy and transience of summer love.
