To Be Alone

Looking for the money, I don't have to put in titles
From the east side, everybody has each others rivals
Not street smart, but, outta trouble is what I know
Keep the speaker right across the fucking table
Been working finding, to get into labels
The hustle never stops, too busy getting paper
God only knows when I can be the next savior, yeah, right alone
That's why I never share the fucking code
Fucking talented with my music and my thoughts, yeah
Man, this rhythm got me into my little zone
Really tired from ya, saying that this isn't art
Fucking jealous, keep your hating out the door
Lil One trying to blow up the fucking charts
That's another that they even fucking know
Gotta be alone
I never got the chance to say I really love you
Its really rare for someone to really wanna fuck you
She got more then 10k on Instagram
Shining like a diamond with an attitude, yeah yeah
Girl, you're the one, you really on fire
Hustle on the business, you look tired
If I make it you know that I really got you, cause you're the one
Gotta be alone
Yeah, I keep a prison bible
Looking for the money, I don't have to put in titles
From the east side, everybody has each others rivals
Not street smart, but, outta trouble is what I know
Keep the speaker right across the fucking table
Been working finding, to get into labels
The hustle never stops, too busy getting paper
God only knows when I can be the next savior, yeah, right alone
Feelings kept right inside a fucking vault
That's why I never share the fucking code
Fucking talented with my music and my thoughts, yeah
Man, this rhythm got me into my little zone
Really tired from ya, saying that this isn't art
Fucking jealous, keep your hating out the door
Lil One trying to blow up the fucking charts
That's another that they even fucking know
In the song "To Be Alone" by Omar, the lyrics delve into the personal struggles and ambitions of the artist. The repeated reference to keeping a "prison bible" can be interpreted as a metaphor for finding solace and guidance in difficult circumstances. The line about looking for money without needing titles suggests a desire for financial success without conforming to traditional structures or expectations.
The mention of rivals on the east side implies a competitive environment where everyone is vying for success and recognition. Despite not being street smart, the singer navigates through trouble with their own methods. The imagery of a speaker across the table hints at a constant dialogue with their aspirations and goals, always striving to break into the music industry.
The theme of hustling and never stopping in pursuit of success is highlighted, with the singer acknowledging that only divine intervention may determine their fate as a potential savior in the music world. The internal struggle of keeping emotions guarded in a metaphorical vault reflects a sense of vulnerability and protection of one's inner self. The reference to being talented in both music and thoughts suggests a deep connection to their creative process as a means of expression and identity.
The defiance against critics who dismiss their art as invalid or unworthy is a recurring sentiment in the lyrics. The singer pushes back against jealousy and negativity, determined to rise up the charts and prove their worth despite the odds. The dedication to their craft and to a special someone who supports them through the challenges underscores the emotional and personal stakes involved in their journey towards success. Overall, "To Be Alone" captures the raw emotions and resilience of an artist striving for recognition in a competitive and often unforgiving industry.
