Istá slečna Micina
Chytá myši pod klavírom
Keď pán chodí do kina
Raz sa vrátil z kina skoršie
Mačka zase lovila
Myš vybehla na klávesy
Ozvala sa melódia podľa tlapiek mačacích
Skladateľ ju zapísal hneď do nôt presne podľa nich
A peniažky počíta
The song "Mačka pána skladateľa" by Peter Nagy tells a charming story about a composer's cat and its adventures. The lyrics describe a scene where Miss Micia, a certain lady cat, catches mice under the piano while the composer goes to the cinema. This establishes the cat's mischievous and playful nature.
In one instance, the composer returns from the cinema earlier than expected, only to find the cat once again in the middle of a chase. A mouse runs out onto the piano keys, and the cat immediately leaps after it. As a result, a melody is heard, created with the cat's paw taps on the piano keys. The composer, with a keen ear, quickly jots down the melody, transcribing it into musical notes.
The lyrics emphasize the uniqueness of this melody, which is created by the cat's paw taps on the piano keys. The composer writes down the composition just as it sounds, reflecting the melody in the song itself. This creates a beautiful and catchy song that will be played on the radio. The repetition of the phrase "A tak z tejto melódie už je pekná pesnička" (And so, from this melody, a beautiful song emerges) highlights the transformation of the cat's playful actions into a melodic composition.
The song goes on to mention that the composer's cat no longer catches mice but has shifted its focus to composing great works and counting money. This subtly suggests that the cat has evolved and grown alongside the composer, now engaging in more sophisticated pursuits. This line also alludes to the composer's success as he gains recognition and financial stability from his compositions.
Overall, the song portrays the playful and serendipitous nature of creativity, where even a cat's misadventures can inspire a beautiful song. It showcases the transformative power of music, as the cat's playful taps on the piano keys turn into a memorable composition featured on the radio. The lyrics also hint at the growth and progress of both the composer and his cat, emphasizing their success in the world of music.
