Scoppiò un sorriso

Le albe dall'odore di caffè
I nostri baci lucidi puntuali
E giorno dopo giorno tu ti chiedi
Se quello che volevi è questo qua
Scoppiò un sorriso e illuminò
I volti della solitudine
Un'alba nuova dichiarò
La guerra contro l'abitudine...
The lyrics to Pierangelo Bertoli's "Scoppiò un sorriso" are an ode to the small moments in life that make it worth living. The singer is reflecting on shared memories with a loved one; the smell of morning coffee, sleeping together, and the routine of daily life. These moments are punctuated by the struggles of the world outside, national misfortunes and the noise of schoolchildren. But, in the midst of it all, a smile breaks out, illuminating the faces of loneliness and introducing a new dawn; a declaration of war against routine and the shackles of the daily grind.
The song highlights the importance of recognizing and cherishing small moments of joy in our lives, especially in the face of uncertainty and stress. It speaks to the role of love and relationships in providing us with comfort and a sense of purpose. Ultimately, the smile that breaks out represents a hopeful attitude towards life, and a reminder that even in difficult times, there is always something to smile about.
