1) Pond is an Australian psychedelic rock band from Perth, Western Australia, formed in 2008. Initially featuring a revolving line-up, since 2016 the band has comprised
Jay Watson (also of Tame Impala), Nick Allbrook (ex-Tame Impala), Shiny Joe Ryan, Jamie Terry, and James Ireland.
The original idea of Pond was to be able to get anyone they wanted to play whatever they wanted in a collaborative musical project. Their first album was released soon after in January 2009, titled Psychedelic Mango, which contained many psychedelic rock and pop elements. Their second album, Corridors of Blissterday, was completed live with an eight piece band in five days, and released in June 2009. This led to the creation of their 2010 album, Frond, released in May 2010, featuring a heavier pop influence than previously heard from them.
After the breakthrough success of Innerspeaker, the debut album by Tame Impala, a band which shares three members with Pond, the album Beard, Wives, Denim was recorded in 2010 and later released to critical acclaim in March 2012.

... tomorrow
Sorry I was under the sky
Sorry I was under the sky
Joy and ...broken too, ...reach out
Summer is breaking ... and try
Sorry I was under the sky
Sorry I was under the sky
The lyrics of Pond's song "Sorry I Was Under The Sky" can be interpreted as the singer apologizing for being absent and potentially not fulfilling their responsibilities. The opening line, "I woke up under the... my way," suggests that the singer was lost or in a daze and not focused on their surroundings or direction. The following line, "tomorrow," implies that the singer was so lost that they lost track of time and day.
The chorus, "Sorry I was under the sky" is repeated twice, emphasizing the apology for being absent and potentially unreachable due to being under the vast sky. The line "Joy and ... broken too, ... reach out" could be interpreted as the singer acknowledging that while they may have missed out on finding joy and potentially have been broken by their absence, they are willing to reach out and make amends.
The second verse mentions summer breaking, potentially indicating that the time has passed, the singer has realized their mistake, and is pleading for forgiveness. Overall, the song conveys a sense of remorse and a plea for understanding and forgiveness for being absent.
