Using his Pulp Victim alias, Corsten is known to have composed six tracks: Dreams Last For Long, The World, I'm Losing Control, Another World, Mind Over Matter and Never.
Please note that I'm Losing Control was a limited vinyl-only release, whereas Another World and Mind Over Matter were used as B-Sides and are very hard to locate. The final track, Never, is aptly named, as it was never released on any format, although it can be legally downloaded from Beatport.
Dreams Last For Long was the first Pulp Victim release, signed to Jive Records in 1997. The World soon followed, and such was its popularity that a 6 track Maxi CD Single re-release followed one year later with special remixes from Lange and DJ Quicksilver among others. As another sign of the track's enduring popularity within the trance community, The World was also remixed in 2004 by Greg Murray.
Pulp Victim has also provided remixes for: Top Cat - Chicago, The Space Brothers - Forgiven (I Feel Your Love), De Bos - Chase and De Bos - On The Run.
Since the turn of the Millennium, Ferry Corsten has seemingly stopped using his Pulp Victim alias, and is now concentrating on releasing music under his own name, and also in the System F guise.

Pulp Victim Lyrics

There's no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find you
Acting on your best behavior
Turn your back on Mother Nature
Everybody wants to rule the world
It's my own desire
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the most of freedom
And of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do, I'll be right behind you
So glad we've almost made it
So sad we had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world
Everybody wants to rule the world
Everybody wants to rule the world
The above lyrics are from the song "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Pulp Victim. The song tells us about the human desire to control, dominate, and rule over the world. The lyrics depict that there is no going back once we step into the world and even while we sleep, we might be stalked by the desire to take over everything. In the song, the singer addresses the audience to act on their best behavior and to turn their back on nature to fulfill their desire to control everything.
The singer then adds that everybody wants to rule the world, regardless of their race, gender, or nationality. The desire to rule the world is deeply ingrained in human nature. The singer asks for help in making the most of their freedom and pleasure but acknowledges that nothing ever lasts forever. As the song progresses, we find out that the singer is not interested in ruling the world but is instead seeking liberation from the desire to control everything.
He sings of a room where the light won't find us, and he wants us to hold hands while the walls come tumbling down. The singer is hopeful that they can make it to the other side when everything is falling apart. The singer ends the song on a bittersweet note, stating that everybody wants to rule the world, and no matter how far we go, we can never escape the desire to control everything.

Ferry Corsten would be proud of the job Marks done on this. I would have loved the main melody to have continued after the breakdown, instead of back into the chunky tech trance riff that Si Patterson seems to do a lot as well on a lot of his productions. That’s my only criticism but it’s still a banger and quality remix.
