We Are the Champions
Queen + Paul Rodgers Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through
(And I need to go on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions
Of the world

I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it
I thank you all
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose
(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions
Of the world

We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end
Oh, we are the champions
We are the champions

No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions

the only time I got to see Queen was with Paul, the best living rock singer! The main house sound cut out for one song, but still an incredible show. No one can replace Freddie, but this was a great collaboration even playing some of Paul's material.

@mel Belle - Yeah! And I really LOVE also Queen + Adam Lambert.
Really great collaboration too. Fantastic and great teamwork ever!

I saw Queen + Lambert live at Telenor Arena, Oslo in 2018, and it was a great, double-great, triple-great concert I ever saw and my first Queen concert ever.
And I also saw Brian May live on TV at 46664 festival at Fyllingen, Tromsø in 2005.

Queen have not been so many times in Norway since the concert in Drammenshallen, Drammen in 1982.
But we Norwegians really love Queen and also Freddie Mercury.
