Sepúlveda grew up in Brooklyn & the Bronx, New York, where his father, Ramon Sepulveda sang boleros with his group "Trio Los Romanticos". As a teenager his family moved to Puerto Rico where Ray sang with local groups in Mayaguez, including Orquestra La Justicia & Orquestra La Dictadora with Frankie Ruiz. In 1977 he returned to New York where he sang and recorded with "Orquestra Sociedad 76" with Johnny Zamot and was part of that band for four years and recorded three albums. In early 1983 he worked with Adalberto Santiago. He left the music scene from 1984 thru the middle of 1988 where he joined forces once again with percussionist Johnny Zamot and formed the group "Johnny & Ray" Salsa Con Clase. The first album "Salsa Con Clase featured the hit singles "Mascarada", Margarita and a few more. The second "Johnny & Ray" production included the hit single "Bandolera". His solo career started in 1991 with the album titled "Un Poquito Mas" produced by "Sergio George" under the Sony/RMM Record Label. His Con Sabor also produced by Sergio George reached the Latin Billboard charts in 1993. In 1994 "Llegaste Tu" , produced by Julito Alvarado and recorded in Puerto Rico, 1997 "De Todo Un Poco", produced by Ricky Gonzalez[1] and he returned in 1999 with another hit single, "Eres" in a production titled "Salsabor" which by the way is his trademark. This production was produced in Puerto Rico by Luis Garcia. [2]
Fool on the Hill

Alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin
Is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he's just a fool
And he never gives an answer
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Well on the way
Head in a cloud
The man of a thousand voices
Talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him
Or the sounds he appears to make
And he never seems to notice
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
And nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do
And he never shows his feelings
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
He never listens to them
He knows that they're the fools
They don't like him
The fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Oh
"Fool on the Hill" is a song by Ray Sepulveda that speaks about a man who is misunderstood and often ridiculed by society. The song's first verse describes a man who is alone on a hill wearing a foolish grin as nobody wants to know him or listen to what he has to say. The man never provides an answer to them and is labeled a fool. In contrast, the chorus describes how the "fool" sees the world differently from his privileged position on the hill, taking in the beauty of the sunset and the spinning of the globe from his unique vantage point.
The second verse describes a man who talks loudly and confidently but is never heard, and nobody seems to care what he has to say. He doesn't seem to notice their indifference, and as with the first verse, the chorus again describes his perspective from high on the hill. The final verse talks about how nobody likes him, and they think they know what he wants to do, but he never shows his true feelings. The fool on the hill knows the truth; those who mock and judge him are the real fools, and he doesn't need to listen to them.

Day after day
On a daily basis
Alone on a hill
Solitary on an elevated land
The man with the foolish grin
A man with an inexplicable smile
Is keeping perfectly still
Is motionless
But nobody wants to know him
No one desires to understand him
They can see that he's just a fool
They can perceive that he is naive
And he never gives an answer
He never replies to their inquiries
But the fool on the hill
The naive man on the elevated land
Sees the sun going down
Watches the sunset
And the eyes in his head
His perception
See the world spinning round
Observes the planet's rotation
Well on the way
On the right path
Head in a cloud
Deep in thought and daydreaming
The man of a thousand voices
A man with several personalities
Talking perfectly loud
Speaking loudly and clearly
But nobody ever hears him
No one ever listens to him
Or the sounds he appears to make
Or the noises he seems to produce
And he never seems to notice
And he seems unaware of this fact
And nobody seems to like him
No one appears to like him
They can tell what he wants to do
They can sense his intentions
And he never shows his feelings
He never exposes his emotions
He never listens to them
He never pays attention to their words
He knows that they're the fools
He is aware that they are unintelligent
They don't like him
They dislike him
The fool on the hill
The naive man on the elevated land
Sees the sun going down
Watches the sunset
And the eyes in his head
His perception
See the world spinning round
Observes the planet's rotation
Oh
An exclamation of surprise or wonder

Gracias gracias !! Saludos desde Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco MÉXICO !!
