Psycho Suicidal Girls
Ryan Star Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
So why don't I ask you to leave?
And if you should go, I want you to know
That everything wasn't for free
I'll be charging for time
I had you on the line
We talked about the ends of this world
And now I'm praying for time
You're psycho suicidal girl
Everyone knows you're wasting my time
So why don't I ask you to leave?
And if you should go, I want you to know
That everything wasn't for me
I was trying to find
An ordinary time
When there was blood on my bathroom floor
So I'm paying the price
And though the sex was nice
You're psycho suicidal girl
And if you should go, I want you to know
That everything wasn't for you, you, you, you
Everyone knows you're wasting my time
Everyone knows, everyone knows
The song "Psycho Suicidal Girl" by Ryan Star is a dark, intense and emotional portrayal of a relationship gone wrong. The lyrics reveal a lovers' quarrel, with the singer expressing his frustration with the girl who he feels is wasting his time. He ruminates on their conversations about the end of the world and the price he's paying, both metaphorically and literally, for being in this relationship. Despite the sex being good, he sees her as a psycho suicidal girl and believes that everyone knows she's wasting his time.
One interpretation of the song could be that the girl is struggling with mental health issues and the singer is trying to cope with the situation. The frustration and sadness in the lyrics could be reflective of his inability to help her, and his sense of loss as she slips away from him. The mention of blood on the bathroom floor hints at the possibility of self-harm, a dark and unsettling moment in the song that adds to the overall sense of unease.
Overall, "Psycho Suicidal Girl" is a powerful song that explores the complexities of relationships and the toll that they can take on individuals. It's a heartbreaking reminder of how mental health struggles can consume both people in a relationship and how difficult it can be to navigate these issues.
