Diumenge
Sanjosex Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I avui
Camino
Aquest camp
Ple d’espígol,
I demà
M’observa
Esperant que
Sucumbeixi,
I no vull...!

Canto mirant l’horitzó amb la vista borrosa,
Voltant, sense fi ni rumb en la mirada
Dispers, penso en tot i en res a la vegada,
I demà seré aixecat aviat de matinada.

I avui
Camino
Aquest camp
Ple d’espígol,
I demà
M’observa
Esperant que
Sucumbeixi,
I no vull...!

I avui
Ui ui ui
I demà
Na na na
Pensaments
De diumenge
Esperant la setmana

Que comença
Que comença demà

Overall Meaning

The opening lyrics describe the peaceful sounds and sensations of nature, as the singer reflects on the passing of time and the things they wish they had more time for. The rustling of leaves and branches, the pattering of rain and the accompanying wind create a soothing symphony around the singer. As they look off into the distance, they see the glimmering lights of a roadway and the fading daylight behind the Gavarres mountain range. The singer ponders on the things they never get around to thinking about because of how hectic and fast-paced life can be. However, on this particular Sunday, they choose to waste time without any care, letting their mind wander to familiar places in the scenery and embracing the last hours of sunlight.

The chorus features the singer walking through a field full of lavender flowers (espígol) while feeling anxiety over the week that lies ahead. They worry about how the upcoming days might wear them down and take away the joy they find in the moment. The final lyrics also express a sense of anticipation mixed with anxiety, waiting for the new week to begin and the unknown it might bring.
