After a wildly successful tour across South America in late 2005, the band decided, in their own words, to "stop for a while". Some of their members went on to form side band projects such as No Relax and The Locos. As time went by without further notices, many Ska-P fans feared the band had been gone for good. On late April 2008 and for the rejoice of their worldwide fans, they announced their return as a band on their official site.
Their new album, "Lágrimas y gozos", was released the 7th of October 2008 and its first single is called "Crimen sollicitationis". The band is going to perform various shows around South America and Europe in November and December.

Aplastad a Gasta Claus
Que le cuelguen alto de los huevos
Escupid a Gasta Claus
Patead a Gasta Claus
Que le sodomicen bien sus renos
No, no, no lo envía dios, viene del corte inglés
No, no, no, no lo envía dios, viene del corte inglés, del corte inglés
Secuestrad a Gasta Claus
Aplastad a Gasta Claus
Que le cuelguen alto de los huevos
Escupid a Gasta Claus
Patead a Gasta Claus
Que le sodomicen bien sus renos
Solo soy un gordo bonachón
Son los niños mi gran vocación
Solo manipulo su ilusión
Corderitos, a pastar!
Corderitos, a gastar! ¡Felices Pascuas!
Melchor, Gaspar, Gasta Claus why Baltasar
Prestadme vuestras barbas, necesito defecar
Corderitos, a pastar!
Corderitos, a gastar! ¡Felices Pascuas!
Secuestrad a Gasta Claus
Aplastad a Gasta Claus
Que le cuelguen alto de los huevos
Escupid a Gasta Claus
Patead a Gasta Claus
Que le sodomicen bien sus renos
Melchor, Gaspar, Gasta Claus why Baltasar
Prestadme vuestras barbas, necesito defecar
No hay papel a mano, ¿con qué me voy a limpiar?
Barbas de nobleza, doble capa why suavidad(x2)
The song "Gasta Claus" by Ska-P is a satirical take on the commercialization of Christmas and the character of Santa Claus. The lyrics call for the abuse and humiliation of Gasta Claus, a play on the Spanish pronunciation of Santa Claus, by suggesting that he be kidnapped, crushed, hung by his testicles, spat on, kicked, and sodomized by his reindeer. The lyrics then go on to criticize the origin of the character, suggesting that he comes not from God but from the department store El Corte Inglés. The song continues with the repeated chorus of the abuse of Gasta Claus and ends with a humorous plea by the singer for the bearded figures of the Three Wise Men to lend him their beards for use in the bathroom, as they also come from a commercial origin.
The song is a commentary on the commercialization of Christmas and the sense of entitlement and greed that has become associated with it. The lyrics are intentionally provocative, using imagery that is violent and sexual to underscore the absurdity of the situation. The reference to El Corte Inglés, a popular department store chain in Spain, is particularly pointed, as it suggests that the modern celebration of Christmas is driven more by consumerism and materialism than by religious or spiritual meaning.
