Their very first production, Reckless Girl, brought them instant international success and became 'the talk of the town'(according to Norman Cook anyway) at the 2002 Miami Winter Music Conference. They set foot back in the UK to find themselves top of the Buzz Chart, Cool Cuts and Hype Chart simultaneously. Seb Fontaine, Judge Jules and Pete Tong all got behind the track which pushed it straight up the UK charts to 28 when it was released through Cheeky Records (BMG). Internationally, 'the track of the year'(Judge Jules words, not ours!) was heavily playlisted on radio and TV.
Such success, brought an intense schedule of remixes... Mousse T, Faithless, Dido, Apollo 440, Bini and Martini, Mint Royale and INXS have all came knocking at the door since.
Their second single, History, which they released a year later saw a return to their blues inspired production and brought them back to their underground roots. It was first promoted on Wax Habit, then taken round the world by fledgling label DTPM.
Since then the pair have locked themselves in the studio, emerging only for their numerous DJ bookings (and Ewen's commitments as manager of Uptown Records) and consequently have a host of forthcoming releases.

But My Man Is Crazy For Me
I Spend His Money Like There's No Tomorrow
I'm A Reckless Girl, I Agree
I Ain't Much At Cooking And Sewing
But My Man Is Crazy For Me
I Spend His Money Like There's No Tomorrow
I'm A Reckless Girl, I Agree
But My Man Is Crazy For Me
I Spend His Money Like There's No Tomorrow
I'm A Reckless Girl I Agree
My Head Needs Combing And My House Needs Cleaning
I Could Fix It Up If I Tried
I Must Admit That I'm Just Plain Lazy
But He's Always There At My Side
I Ain't Much At Cooking And Sewing
But My Man Is Crazy For Me
I Spend His Money Like There's No Tomorrow
My Head Needs Combing And My House Needs Cleaning
I Could Fix It Up If I Tried
I Must Admit That I'm Just Plain Lazy
But He's Always There At My Side
I Ain't Much In Mixing With People
I Don't Know What To Say In A Crowd
I'm Always Nagging While He's Busy Bragging
I Never Try To Make Him Feel Proud
My Head Needs Combing And My House Needs Cleaning
I Could Fix It Up If I Tried
I Must Admit That I'm Just Plain Lazy
But He's Always There At My Side
I Ain't Much In Mixing With People
I Don't Know What To Say In A Crowd
I'm Always Nagging While He's Busy Bragging
I Never Try To Make Him Feel Proud
The lyrics to The Beginnerz's song "Reckless Girl" tell the story of a woman who is not particularly skilled at domestic tasks such as cooking, sewing, cleaning, and socializing. Despite this, her man is crazy for her and she spends his money without concern for the future. The woman acknowledges her laziness and lack of social skills, but her partner supports her nonetheless.
The song is a commentary on gender roles and expectations of women, particularly within traditional heterosexual relationships. The woman in the song does not adhere to traditional notions of femininity, as she is not adept at domestic tasks or socializing. However, her partner still loves her for who she is and supports her, regardless of these traits that may typically be seen as "negative" or "unfeminine".
Additionally, the woman's spending habits may be seen as a criticism of consumer culture and materialism, as she spends money without concern for the future. The lyrics also hint at a power dynamic within the relationship, as the woman relies on her partner's support and does not attempt to make him proud, instead nagging while he brags.
Overall, the lyrics to "Reckless Girl" offer a commentary on gender roles and expectations within relationships, as well as consumer culture and power dynamics within partnerships.
