Shake a Tail Feather
The Blues Brothers Lyrics
Well I heard about the fellow you've been dancin' with All over the neighbourhood
So why didn't you ask me baby?
Didn't you think I could?
Well I know that the boogaloo is outta sight
But to shake a leisure thing tonight
Would it happen to me and you baby?
I want to show you how to do it right...
Do it right. Uh huh. Do it right. Do it right, do it right, do it right, do it right!
[Chorus]
Twist it! Shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it baby! Here we go loop di loo!
Shake it out baby!
Here we go loop di lie!
Bend over, let me see you shake your tail feather (bis) Come on, let me see you shake your tail feather (bis)
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
[Chorus] (again!)
Come on! Come on babe! Come on! Yeah come on babe!
Alright!
Do the twist!
Do the fly!
Do the swim!
(Ha! Ha! Ha!)
And do the bird!
(Oh!)
Do the duck!
(Ah!)
Do the monkey!
(Hey! Hey!)
Watootsie!
And the... what about the food?
Do the mashed potato!
What about the boogaloo?
The Boney Muroney!
Come on! Let's do the twist!
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Twist it! Shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it baby! (bis)
(Oh!) Twist it! Shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it baby!

The band then began to take on a life beyond the confines of the television screen, releasing an album, Briefcase Full of Blues, in 1978, and then having a Hollywood film, The Blues Brothers, created around its characters in 1980.
After the death of Belushi in 1982, the Blues Brothers have continued to perform with a rotation of guest singers and other band members. Aykroyd reunited the original band in 1988 for a world tour and again in 1998 for a sequel to the film, Blues Brothers 2000. Aykroyd and the band, occasionally joined by Belushi's brother Jim, make regular appearances at musical festivals worldwide.

No wonder everyone was so skinny back then, everyone would just randomly break out into choreographed dances.

It was before the sugar industry lobbied the US to blame all health issues on fat. After that it was all „low fat“ here „fat free“ there, and now bread tastes like candy.
