Loneliness
The Feeling Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Loneliness, oh, loneliness
What is the point of it?
Loneliness, oh, loneliness

Right now, I'll take a penny for my thoughts
Right now, I'm overcharging you, of course
Right now, but I've a question for you all
Whose idea was it?
What is the point of it?

(Loneliness, oh, loneliness)
I can't carry on this way
Please let me stay, oh babe
(Loneliness, oh, loneliness)
We don't have to be this way
Please let me stay

Right now, it claps a thunder in my brain
Right now, my head is spinning with the pain
Right now, it's so illogical and strange

Can't get over it
What is the point of it?

(Loneliness, oh, loneliness)
I can't carry on this way
Please let me stay, oh babe
(Loneliness, oh, loneliness)
We don't have to be this way
Please let me stay

It started out so well
I even tried to take it slowly
But now you're cold as hell
That old north wind has blown these flames away

Loneliness, oh, loneliness
What is the point of it?

(Loneliness, oh, loneliness)
I can't carry on this way
Please let me stay, oh babe
(Loneliness, oh, loneliness)
We don't have to live this way
Please let me stay, oh babe

Loneliness, oh, loneliness
What is the point of it?
Loneliness, oh, loneliness

It started out so well, yeah, yeah
(Loneliness, oh, loneliness)
(What is the point of it?)
It started out so well, yeah, yeah, oh

(Loneliness, oh, loneliness)
Right now

I so wish they include a few bonus tracks of covers like they did with JWU. They must, must, must get their cover version of A-Ha's 'Take On Me'. Great as the original was, dare I say The Feeling's version is better!! I've seen them at the Hammersmith Apollo twice, last time was in November. Do you know when they're releasing the next album and what's your fave song of all time from them? Mine has got to be 'Strange', although 'Sewn' is an all time classic.

Yeah me too! I always get the vision of a haunted house and each band member draped in old medieval clothes. Remember 'Backstreet Back' by the Backstreet Boys? Check that out...Absolutely love this band. Can't wait for the third album. Seen them twice already!!
