I played sax with these guys before Chris Goldmark joined on bass and (I think family connections may have helped—google Dr. Goldmark) they then signed with Columbia. I missed even their brief brush with fame, alas :)

Ah yes, the "Country Gentlemen"! Didn't know you were in that band at one time. Cool! Definitely New Canaan's best band of that era. You know, as I remember, they had recorded on vinyl one or two other singles one I believed was titled "Look My Way" with their original name. I know that they had to change their name when they went into the studio for this single. Jack had said something like there was some other band from Tennessee with the same name!
