I went to see the Swami
I found him on his needle bed
I tried to wake him from his trance
But really, he was stoned instead

He stared at me with beady eyes
The crystal ball began to glow
His voice I thought would hypnotize
“Cross my palm with dough”

Swami, Swami, hasn’t even got it then
Swami, Swami, fooling people all the time

He cut the cards and made a deal
The Swami’s tenτ for just one meal
A puff of smoke, away he went
Now I’m the owner of his tent

Swami, Swami, hasn’t even got it then
Swami, Swami, fooling people all the time

On third Pebbles compilation as William Penn V: the most notable song if i'm not wrong.. A structured, psychedelic composition with such oriental flavour absolutely rare for the year '66, especially in the Usa.
I often asked myself which reasons could have stopped such genius minds: Vietnam, drugs, prison, a good career in a bank.. as always just misfortune, I suppose.

Another winner from HBO, both in sound and images. Apparently not only Greg Rollie but Mickey Hart, the Grateful Dead's percussionist/world-musician, got their starts in this band.

If I’m not mistaken, Gregg Rolie, who went onto greater fame in Santana and Journey, got his start in this band.

Fantastic Psychedelic Rock. The B-side: Blow My Mind. It was the only single this group released.

@Hartlor_Tayley

Anch'io mi sono sempre chiesto come sia possibile che ci abbiano lasciato un solo maledetto singolo.. erano troppo avanti
